Working out recipes for obtaining shoe, haberdashery and belt leathers with a combination of vegeta-ble tanning agents "MIMTAN AT1", "MIMOSA CR", "MIMOSA RG".

     Specialists of Shebekinskaya industrialnaya khimiya, LLC (Russia) at several tanneries have worked out recipes for obtaining shoe, haberdashery and belt leathers using a combination of vegetable tanning agents: "MIMTAN AT1", "MIMOSA CR", "MIMOSA RG".

• "MIMTAN AT1" - has excellent dispersing properties, facilitates the penetration and distribution of vegetable tannins ("Mimosa RG") and dyes.
• «MIMOSA CR» - the combination of modified mimosa and chromium; has a low pH (2.8), which facilitates the process of fixing tannins and dyes, therefore gives the leather fullness and tightness, as well as smooth fine grain.
• «MIMOSA RG» - polymerized tannin (increased molecule size) with strong filling properties; in combination with "Mimtan AT1" is distributed to looser areas of hides and skins.

      The trials were done on crusts with thicknesses 1.0-1.2 mm, 1.2-1.4 mm, 1.4-1.6 mm, 1.6-1.8 mm, 2.0-2.2 mm, and 3.0+ mm. The leathers were evaluated in crusts and after finishing. The test result is positive. In all variants, the tightness, elasticity and absence of belt crust looseness are noted. All leathers have good fastness results: tensile strength and elongation.

      The leathers in the thickness of 1.0-1.2 mm and 1.2-1.4 mm were evaluated after milling. The leathers have pleasant touch, fine grain after milling, good filling and tight grain over the entire area of the leather.

       Leather finishing was carried out with the chemicals of the company PIELCOLOR, S.L.U. (Spain). As a result of the trials, orders for these chemicals for doing extended experimental and production batches were received from tanneries.
