Fat liquors for leather production: • «SMH-10/15.1» - special oil for fat finishes, designed for finishing full and corrected grain leathers, suede articles....

Testing the recipe of the article “Shoe crust” with the use of “Dowell” chemicals.

In an experimental shop at one of the Belarus tanneries, a recipe has been tested for obtaining the article "Shoe Crust" in thickness of 2.0 - 2.2 mm using “Dowell” chemicals (China):

«DOWELLTAN RV13» - a retanning agent based on acrylic resin. In chrome tanning «DOWELLTAN RV13» significantly improves fullness and density of grain and reduces stickiness, has an excellent dispersing effect and accelerates the penetration of vegetable tannins. It can also be used instead of vegetable extracts. It has excellent light resistance and heat resistance, and has bleaching ability;
«DOWELLTAN RS16» - an acidic acrylic acid-based retanning agent, which has excellent acid resistance, is used before chrome tanning, giving pleasant cotton feel. It is suitable for processing nappa, furniture, clothing, haberdashery leathers, suede split;
«DOWELLTAN RE17» - an acrylic resin-based retanning agent that fills the leather and makes the grain smooth and even, giving the entire leather high elasticity, providing excellent light and heat resistance;
«DOWELLOR FL23» - a fat liquor based on synthetic oil and soft auxiliary agents, which gives the leather softness, has excellent light resistance, and excellent penetrating effect. It can be used alone or in combination with other anionic fat liquors, enhancing the stability and penetration of the emulsion. It is suitable for fatliquoring all types of furniture, garment and shoe upper leathers;
«DOWELLOR FL-75» - neat’s-foot oil for fatliquoring, which provides the leather with good oiliness, gives the leather good penetration and absorbency, and makes it soft, providing good fullness and preventing wrinkles. It has good lightfastness.

Crust received positive fedback from the tannery's managers. The recipe was given over to calculating the cost of processing. The tannery is planning to order new chemicals for extended trials.
