On April 6, 2022, the Russian-Iranian Forum for the Development of Economic Cooperation in a New Global Reality was held at the Congress Center of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of a meeting of the business circles of Russia and Iran. The event was organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, the Russian-Iranian Business Council, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia and the Trade Development Organization of Iran.
The main objectives of the event were:
1) discussion of the development of cooperation in such promising areas as: light and food industry, construction materials, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, household chemicals, logistics, technologies and innovations.
2) conducting B2B negotiations between Russian and Iranian companies representing 9 sectors of the Iranian economy.
On the Iranian side, the event was attended by: Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Alirez Peman Paka, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare of Iran Ahmad Hani Nuzari and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Russia Kazem Jalali, as well as 70 representatives of Iranian business circles from such areas as: food industry, medicine, technology and innovation, industry, light industry, construction industry, transport and logistics, detergents, petrochemicals. The Russian business community was represented by 350 participants from 30 regions of Russia. At the conclusion of the forum, round tables were held in the following areas: "Food industry", "Dairy products", "Seafood", "Construction industry", "Cement", "Light industry", "Footwear", "Clothing", "Petrochemistry", "Medicine", "Pharmaceuticals", "Medical equipment", "Technologies and innovations", "Transport and logistics", "Detergents", "Industry".
