On the 15-th of December 2008 a regional professional contest “Engineer of the Year 2008” was held in Belgorodor for the first time. The participants of the contest were employees of the leading regional enterprises.

The idea of holding this contest belongs to the Department of Economic Development under the government of Belgorod region.
